Diversity advocates within Google are starting to see an internal backlash to their efforts towards racial and gender diversity. I share details about some of the harassment that’s being reported. MSNBC held a town hall discussion with the CEOs of Google and YouTube. I address the segment on diversity within tech and how D&I is a never-ending battle even if some of the answers given by Sundar are Susan are efforts proposed by D&I advocates themselves.

Salesforce CEO says Facebook, like cigarettes, is addictive and should be regulated accordingly. I share my perspective on this potential regulation and its parallels to net neutrality borrowing from my own experiences as someone who’s scaled back their own social media use. Uber recently hired its first ever Chief of Diversity putting the company in a bizarre situation regarding the oppression olympics.

Vanity Fair recently published a piece about sex parties in Silicon Valley. I share my thoughts on the piece including some public accounts of people who were actually there with conflicting stories about what exactly went down at the party. I also address the latest #MeToo story on Aziz Ansari and how many issues today seem to be related to a lack of communication. Project Veritas has released more videos related to Twitter. I cover the claims they’re making as well as a few reasons to be skeptical.

After my coverage of Quinn Norton’s blog post “Robert Scoble and Me”, she backed up my claim that we should be open to questioning certain people’s judgement with a bizarre analogy she sent to me via Twitter. The Google Memo author James Damore has filed a class action lawsuit against Google. I address some of the contents in the lawsuit which show the nightmare it must be working at Google.

Today I clarify a point I made last week related to an IDE and my suspicions that it was being sold to colleges. My suspicions were slightly off but I provide public proof about its funding and an analysis on market competition. Axios published a list of men who have been accused of sexual misconduct and I discuss the men in tech who have been listed.
